98 rm 250 issue, help

Hi Guys i have a problem with my mates Rm 250. bascally its not ticking over ( Idling ), we've changed the throttle cable and it will tick over when i adjust the adjuster on top of the throttle but when i turn the idle screw nothing happens and i can actually take the idle screw all the way out. the problem is then when i rev the bike it revs high. any ideas??

Hi Mate, here in the UK it means Idle any help would be good. Reading around and some people say pilot jet and a few other things..

ticking over means the engine running,,

sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. or bad float adjustment maybe?
