float level

How did you fix the leak Mr. Padgett ???

I have an 05.....and it leaks on the stand....and at idle........

Replace the float needle would be the first part. The tip of the needle will get grooved from the seat and let fuel seep pass. Another part to check is where the spring loaded tip of the needle rest on the float tab. It wears a small round hole that will cause the float level to be off about 1-2mm. If the tab is worn, then resetting the floats back to factor spec will get you by until the needle and floats can be replaced. Its a short term fix to keep you riding until the parts come in.
