2001 250f help leaking oil profusly

Recommended Posts

My 2001 yz 250f started leaking oil after a short trail tide the other day and i can't seem to find the leak. It looks like it would have came out of the drain plug but it was tight . I figure id ask is there any where else the oil would come from at the bottom of the motor. I has a food plate and I cannot see any damage. Before removing the skid plate I did add more oil and start the bike. Once it got hot it started to leak again. That's when I started to tear the bike down. Any other suggestions would be nice

Only suggestion I can make is clean everything and trace the leak back. Check the seal behind the front drive sprocket.. That's a common leak and easy fix

not to be a wise arse, but if you cannot find a leak maybe you should leave the tear down/repair to someone a little more skilled.......
