XCF stock mods compared to SXF

Recommended Posts

To my understanding, there's very little different between the two: gearing, real tire, suspension, kick starter on the XCF, etc. ... but are the stock mods on the XCF really worth the extra money in your opinion?

I can find a 2011 350 SXF for about $7000 OTD opposed to a 2011 350 XCF for about $9000 OTD. The XCF suits my riding better, but is it really worth the extra green?

After you change the rear wheel and tire, put on a spark arrested muffler, reprogram the ECU for the sparky and revalve the suspension, you can get away with not spending $2k, but it will be close and you will be missing an extra gear and back up kickstarter. Oh and a bigger tank.

SXF is a track machine, XCF is an off road machine. If you like off road, buy the XCF and just ride it. I have ridden both, I loved them both for their purpose. I urge you to try and find a KTM day and ride the entire line up, so many bike to choose from. I figured out my two favorite bikes are the 450 SXF and 150sx... go figure.
