Northern CA Suspension Shop

Recommended Posts

I just started riding again. I have not ridden much since 07, due to and injury at the time (not riding related). So, my 06 YZ250f has been sitting in a warm garage for 3.5 years. I cleaned it up, drained the gas, replaced some lines, cleaned the carb...and it ran like a champ. The front forks seem fine, no leaks...but the rear shock feels like it may have lost some nitrogen pressure.

I am thinking I should probably just pull the forks and shock, and have an oil change and service done. No re-valve (Susp was done by Enzo...and is excellent already)...just fluid change (+recharge for the shock) and service...and change the seals while in there.

What is a good shop in the North or East Bay, or Sacramento area that could do this work properly? I don't really have the time to mess with it myself....

Send it back to Enzo. Since you already had them do a re-valve, they will rebuild your suspension at the cost of a rebuild plus parts, and if any valving needs to be updated, they do that free of charge.

Guys...all I want is the oil changed and the shock re-charged. This suspension has like 10 hours on it since Enzo did it in 2007. I am on a budget now, and I dont really want to waste a bunch of money on shipping...when I could just drop it off and pick it up locally...

There should be quite a few places near you that can recharge the nitrogen. Go down to any motorcycle repair shop and they can recharge it. There are quite a few tire places that are using nitrogen in their tires. Go down there and have them squirt some in. If its just the nitrogen you don't need a high dollar suspension shop.

Be prepared to take your carb apart and clean it thoroughly. Replace the pilot jet, it's the easiest way. Look at the ap diaphragm and make sure it didn't rot away.
