Any Changes for the 2013 Tundra?

Recommended Posts

Is the Tundra due for an overhaul for 2013? Will they have a motor to compete with Ford's ecoboost? What are the rumors?

Probably will not see anything in 2013, most manufacturers will have redesigns for 2014 to meet the new government fuel guidelines. I have read that new or heavily revised trucks will debut from Toyota, Chevy, Nissan, and Dodge for 2014. Think Pickuptruck.com talked about it a while back, nothing set in stone obviously but those are the rumors. Check out the Tundratalk forums, they usually have news posted pretty quickly regarding the Tundra.

there motor now gets better real world mileage than the ecoboost

Which motor? I have the 5.7 and average between 13.5 and 16.5. The best I've

seen was 18 MPGs and that was driving like a turd.

Well I sure hope someone can come out with a small gas or diesel half ton

that realistically averages 25 mpg. That would be sweet!

i was just messin' with you!

But anyway, i've read that the redesign is set for 2013...but who knows. For some reason, I don't really expect Toy to make a motor that competes with the ecoboost. However, I could be very wrong.

Here's an article. http://www.ezdia.com/epad/2013-toyota-tundra-revie/7898/
