Piston band tool?

Recommended Posts

Wondering if piston band installation "bullets",(for lack of better nomenclature) and band compression tools are available anywhere, or if it is better or more reliable for that matter just to buy new pistons when the bands are worn.

I actually don't have them apart yet to measure. I was thinking of just starting off with new bands just to start fresh on this next service. Overkill?

the kybs are very loose and worth thinking about changing, but the showas IMO are way tight from new and rarely loose, so you are spending money and time for no gain IMO
