Hi guys! new to the site here. I have a couple questions for you. I appreciate any help & answers. Thanks in advance!

1. I've heard of some guys making sure the engine is TDC for winter storage, any of you guys do this? If so, how do you do this?

2. I've had my bike for 2yrs now and only performed basic maintenance, oil changes, filters, rad fluid, etc. The bike used to fire up on the 1st or 2nd kick, but now takes about 5-10 kicks, once shes warm it only takes 1-2 kicks. Is there anything more I should be doing or checking for?

You have to check the clerance on the valves. As the motor is run over time the valves sink into the head reduceing the clerance between the buckets and the cam. When the clerance gets to zero the cam holds the valves open reduceing compression. The clerance is adjusted by installing a thinner shim under the bucket.
