deal or no deal?

Recommended Posts

A local guy has a 2002 KTM380 EXC and is asking 1200. He says bike needs a master cylinder for the clutch. Dont know much else because i havent looked at bike or spoke with the guy yet. Is this a good deal or should i pass on it?

Does the clutch still work somewhat? Even if it didn't work I wouldn't buy it without taking it out for a test drive via speed shifting/power shifting whatever you wanna call it. Doing this a few times won't hurt anything as long as you do it right. If the owner doesn't let you do that I would pass because there could be transmission problems.

That is the price i was gonna offer him. So if that is the bikes only issue, is it a good deal. Not really asking is that what the bike should cost but is it a deal. I have a bike at the moment but it has been giving me nothing but headaches this entire summer. Dont wanna buy another bike when I could put that money in my current bike to get it running right. But i have always wanted a smoker.
