Some ACCT's have a spring inside that can be removed before you remove the ACCT from the bike. Removing the spring first lets the ACCT be removed without extending the plunger any further. Once the ACCT has been removed like this, you can easily see how much extension on the plunger is left. Inspection of the timing marks line up will give you an idea of how much timing chain stretch has already occurred. The chain will stretch quite a bit before you run out of tension applied to the chain from the ACCT and the bike will seem to run well with a stretched chain but the timing marks will no longer be in alignment. Thanks all for the awesome reply. Learning soo much frm this forum.

Currently mileage 31000 miles done on this baby. Yup its running on MCCT frm the day i got her. The ticking sound sounds ok i guess not to loud. Definitely not nuts and bolts in a can. I guess its good.

Thanks again for the replies :bonk:
