Jetting a ktm 620 (dellorto)

Recommended Posts

Got a ktm 620 egs With dellorto carb. Put an aftermarket can on it and the airbix was already modded however iv had to tape it up a bit to make it run anywhere near right. It runs ok as it is but struggles and is especially lumpy at low revs. This gets worse with the baffle out.

I think the standard jet is 155 but not had a look yet. Anyone know what would be a good starting point to jet it to suit no baffle and open air box?

You need to pull the carb, pull the jets, replace the pilot, clean the passages, and then see how it runs. It may be jetted perfectly, but it's probably dirty. The pilot is the most common problem on all carbs, as it has the smallest passages and varnishes over very quickly.

Ok mate thanks. It sometimes dies at red lights do maybe the idle jet is clogged or whatever. The carb is pretty clean though other than that. I eead a lot if posts with people having much bigger jets like 180?
