Sorry, but I thought about the rear shock!

Wow ! then they must of restricted the bleed. All prior years to this with the rebound stack shown was a bit light IMO so something is up. well after looking at your specs again, I noticed that you have a 16mm shaft posted. I thought they were still 18mm for 12 but I haven't seen one yet. And if this is the case it will have a impact on the setting in comparison to a 18mm shaft. Less displacement.

The stock stack looks not bad IMO.

i would try open the clicker first.

and, one faceshimm less makes not a difference IMO.

can you see a difference with the clicker open at 25 vs 15 vs 10. ??

check all parts for smooth movement also.

The stack is not to stiff with the correct bleed.

Should I remove one or two face shims on rebound?

I wouldn't unless theres something going on with the the adjuster bleed bypass being restricted in the 2012 shock?

For the YZ shocks up until the 2012, that rebound stack is light.

Yes there is a difference when I open it to 20 clicks. Something is different from the older shocks. On the old YZF you remove a few 36-0,15 and add 36-0,3 right to get the rebound stiffer right?

Yes if you open the pre 2012 shocks to 20 clicks it feels like no rebound in the shock, so this needs to be checked out.

Typical mod rebound for older shocks is

36.2x6

28.1

36.3

34.3

and so on

I'm thinking try this? But I'm concerned what your HS rebound feels like? If it is light this will make it worse. So then you need to bring some .3's up from the bottom. If I had the bike I would know what to do.
