Choosing a carburetor for 2003 drz 125

Recommended Posts

Somehow I ended up with this little abused bike. The bike does run, but only with the choke on. So I cleaned the carb and then went to adjust the mixture screw and the brass plate cover was gone and the screw is stripped out .

I really don't know what my options are, any advice (replacement carb?) is appreciated.

Update: I got the screw out, but I had to trim down the well it was in, but there is still plenty of threads. Where can I find an easy to adjust aftermarket mixture screw?

I have 2 almost 3 of these little bikes. On my wifes I have a xr 200/BBR carb. My daughters has the stock but soon will be the xr200/bbr. There are alot of carb threads on this fourm. I have found in my dauthers, I put in a bigger poilet jet, and it seemed to start and run better. Can't remember the sizes though. My wifes bike has the Engines Only 190cc kit in it and thats the reason for the XR200/BBR carb.

Good luck
