2004 200 SX Stock Jetting

Recommended Posts

pilot-45

main-188

needle-R1468G

needle postion-3rd from top

throttle cutaway-5.5

air screw-1.5 turns

Straight from the 2004 owner's manual . . .

I actually went with a JD jetting kit to clean up the blubbery bottom end.

Hill, depending on the needle you have in there, the pilot you have may be good. I would bump the main to around stock or a little higher. You may find some topend based on where you are now.

I would start with stock settings, correct for temps, and give it a try, providing all is good with the motor.

Thanks leblanc, thats the info I needed. G, besides a compression check anything else to look at on the motor? PV seems to be hitting about right, to me anyway.

Ok went back to stock jetting. Bike runs strong but a little blubbery right off idle. Wet pipe some running down silencer. Should we look at the main, pilot or needle first? By the way reeds look good.
