First GoPro helmet cam - Walker Valley

Does everyone have to put music in their motorcycle videos?

The only sound I want to hear on a motorcycle video is the sound of the motorcycle and the sound of the rider. ?

That's the Jam Trail, so named because quadtard riders like to jam motorcycles off the trail.

It's really about the only trail at Walker that is that wet, most of the trails drain pretty good a day after the rain.

Well Taken. Like I said, its the first one. We usually use Easy Grade, Jam and Meanderings to warm up to the top. I know what you mean about quads and their riders. Been bumped a few times too. I guess that's another reason to stay off the quad trails and go ride the single track.

Thanks for your input. Next time we hope to have some up there from higher trails and we'll try and leave the music out. I looked at this video thoday and was totally impressed. There's someone who really knows how to use the gas and not the brakes. Great Video..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGGfz0pLSK4

Good quality video, was that the Hero or the Hero 2? I somewhat agree with the music thing, Maybe just lower the level of the music so it is the background filler and let the bikes be the main sound. Of course, it's your video and you can edit how you like. Thanks for posting ...

These are obviously not the technical trails at Walker, but just wanted to show our first GoPro cam at Walker. Hope you like it.

Three questions for you...is your cam the HD and if so,what software are you editing with and how did you get the music past the copyright police on youtube? Every time I post a vid with music youtube disables the audio track...

It is HD. I used Windows Live Movie Maker. Not sure about the music getting past anyone. This is my first time. I just know it took along time to load. I used the last version of YouTube before their update. You can choose right now.

Like everyone suggested so far though, I think they really are better without music. Next time I make one, it will be without.

Sorry to pee on your parade, but......

GoPro is behind legislation to stop the possible opening of additional land for multi use in National Parks, Forests and Public Lands. Which may equal less trails for you and others to GoPro!

I got a GoPro As a gift and am selling it now..

CAVEOT: here is a paragraph from the link you provided from the OIA:

"In reality it seems likely that most of these member companies joined OIA in order to attend the OIA trade show to help sell their products. Most of these companies probably have no idea of the OIA agenda to lock up more lands for the elite few who have the time and physical ability to hike very long distances- the rest of the public be damned."

Joe, My gripe with GoPro still stands.... weather or not they know what they are doing... Ignorance is not acceptable here.

Here a link to the bill.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c112:H.R.1581:

The net net here is that this Bill will open up more land for multi use. Which may mean that we have more trails. How often does this happen? No brainer to me.

I have seen other camera vendors attached to peoples helmets.

Its an easy decision for me.. No to GoPro.

What's up with the craptastic ©rap "music"?

Why not just the sweet sounds of the motorcycle.

Most people make videos for the people that they ride with. Therefore, the music is probably what "they" want to listen to. Some people like hiphop, some people like punk rock, and some people like to listen to just the bike. You can't please everyone. I use Corel Pro to edit the videos I make. You don't have to convert the .mp4 to edit them.
