Revalving 09 RMZ 450

Recommended Posts

Working on revalving my RMZ 450. I have the base valve apart and this is what I have.

15-.3 x4

30-2.0

22-.1

23-.1 x 2

24-.1

24-.1 x 2

28-.1

29-.1 x 2

26-.1

29-.1 x 2

20-.1

30-.1 x 6

30-.4

I ride mostly MX, weigh 190 and ride pretty aggressive. Last summer The bike felt ok, but I would like it to ride a little higher in the stroke and soak up choppy terrains.

I had to grind the peen off to remove the nut. I don't think its been revalved or resprung. I got this bike is Aug, the previous owner said he had MCR adjust the clickers and that was all.

the mid is stock, the base is mod.the std valving work good work intermediate rider but i think a little spring on fork work much better.i like a 0.48-49 on fork for first, whit your stack ,without a 22x0.1 .pull out that

The 30 .4 shim is under the piston. Maybe that will make more sense. Here is the mid valve.

that s the difference from your then stock

your stack is soft then stock

you need 0.49 spring and start with stock valving

make a ride and give a feedback .that s my think

I am going to leave the springs alone. My weight changes too much, by spring I will weigh less and by the the middle of summer I will be around 175. I would like to get a stack for riding MX and for an aggressive rider. I tend to land hard on the front and have blown the fork seals on every bike I have ever had. I like the front to feel light and the back to stick to the ground.

Thanks
