Un-lowering a Husqvarna part II (need help with Sachs shock)

Recommended Posts

Well my forks are back to normal (removed the lowering kit) on my 02 Husqvarna 570TE :bonk: Now its time to un-lower the Sachs rear shock.

This was pretty straight forward. Turns out there was a plastic spacer between the seal housing and the shim stack/valve. It has been removed and the shock is re-assembled however I'm in a bit of a bind.

I simply need to fill this with oil, bleed the air then fill it with nitrogen, but I'm not seeing a bleed/fill screw anywhere... Any ideas? Thanks,

Andrew

There should be a small screw in the center of the reservoir cap. Remove this screw and use a needle type charging set up, similar to an Ohlins.

fill the res with oil push the piston all the way down. Fill the shock body, bleed and install the seal head with the piston near the top. The seal head will displace the piston to about 95mm. Fill to 150 psi.
