Riding Today, Sand Track in Georgia.

I know these pictures aren't the best (the photographer stood in one spot the whole time) but I figured I would post them up since I haven't posted in a while and I'm sitting here bummed about an injured knee (don't know how bad it is yet.)

Anyways they prepped the track nearly perfect and I had all new gear today (old gear was stolen out of my truck) and I was riding the fastest I've ever rode and broke my record lap time by 3 seconds. Also I stayed in front of a former pro for two laps so I was super pumped about that, but on lap three I crashed and hurt my knee ? So besides the knee thing, today was pretty much perfect

Looks like a nice track. Thats a great idea with the direction markers. Wished more places would do it.

Haha yeah a lot of them! This track is Ivey's which is off of Eisenhower parkway by I-475. It's a really fun practice track.

But yeah the whole gear thing was a bummer but I'm so pumped about all my new stuff!!!

Ah, southern GA. I tend to stay up north. Those Jett boots look real nice though. How do you like them.

I love them and they are very light. They are snug on your foot but have no pressure points. It's like a big pillow inside haha. The upper half of the boot is very comfortable as well. The buckles are very nice and the straps are easily adjustable. The boots have these rubber pieces on the outside of the inside legs which I can tell help grip the bike and will keep the boots from wearing too quickly. The soles may look slippery from the pictures but the red is actually quite a softer rubber and the first time I put my foot on the peg I almost fell over when I tried to slide it off Lol. So they grip really well on the pegs too and I never noticed my feet slip off. Also they give really good feel of the bike and of the controls especially with the small toe box. I took a lot of pictures of them when they were new so I'll post them up a bit later as I have to study for finals right now. But the best part is that you can replace the entire upper portion of the boot, the soles, and the straps and buckles all for a reasonable price. They even have about 20 different graphic kits for these boots too!

thats funny, when I was working in Atlanta a few years ago I had never really ridden true blue hardpack and wasnt having much fun riding concrete with dust on it. I asked if there were any sand tracks around and a guy pointed me to a the "X" track east of Atlanta. So I was pumped to go ride some sand, well, if you have been there, its not really sand, maybe two corners worth anyway!! Which is slightly less hard than concrete unless it just rained.

They seem to be pretty quality boots! I've heard they're fairly narrow due to the tow box though, and I've got duckfeet. My Tech 10's are almost to narrow.

I've only been out to Monroe, Bremen, HP, and DP. Never really bothered to go down South. Don't really know that I'm quite ready for true sand anyways.

Yep I'm not a big fan of the dirt here. It's either concrete or sloppy muck at best. Some places aren't bad too bad though. Bremen is almost powdery, and Monroe has some loam too it.

Loopy if you ever get up far into the northeast mountains like I am you should try fannin county. Its on GOR and I have a few vids of it on my youtube (johnyz250f102) if you wanna watch them. Its a nice little practice track. not too crowded and cheap and the guy keeps it prepped and watered. Just another place to look if your interested.

I'm pretty sure I've seen those before. Unfortunately I really haven't been riding much lately anyways. I'll definitely have to check Fannin out sometime. But I'm pretty sure I saw you at DP a few weekends ago.
