Has anyone used a a CRF or RMZ rear axel nut

I have a 12 kx450f and wanted to see of anyone has used a CRF or rmz rear axel nut instead of the cotter pin setup. I think once in motocross action they said the swap the cotter pin for a CRF nut instead. Would any year work?

Yes. I use the CRF self locking. Used it on my 09 and got another one when I bought my 11. Works like a champ!

The original nut works just fine without the cotterpin

+1, I dont have the Kawi anymore but it worked great and looked cleaner.

I picked up a set of Bolt axle blocks with captured adjuster bolts. They are really nice and include a self-locking axle nut in the kit.
