Street legal YZ 250F in CA?

I was wondering if its possible to legalize a 2004 yzf 250 in CA? I used to work in the motorcycle industry, and there were a couple of excuses that could be used as a loophole at the DMV. One of them was to consider as a "specially constructed vehicle" and the other reason I forgot. Anyone have any experience they would like to share?

Btw, the bike is a red sticker.

Dirt bikes can no longer (since Jan 31, 2004) be 'legally' plated in CA, especially red sticker bikes although some bikes apparently have been able to slip through the cracks.

Even if you did get it plated, it would not last long on the road.
