KTM is suffering grief over multi hole injectors. I was guessing others that tried this had the same problem. It sounds like Honda did too.

Is it possible to retrofit the later injector into the earlier bikes? With a single larger hole I would assume this is how they resolved the issue.

The 09 has a different throttle house(50mm) compared to the later models(46mm).

But it's from the same manufactor, so it would not surprise me if it fits with a new injector in the old throttle house.

most injectors can interchange

Ron, as you've probably heard KTM is having an issue with the multihole injector.

I'm guessing a single hole Keihn injector off another bike would work. I'm just trying to figure out which one will.

The issues I can think of are the physical size, flow rate and impedance.

The holes are what do the fuel metering. The injector has a certain calibration in how much fuel it flows per given amount of time. Drilling the holes bigger will throw that off, and the computer will be injecting much more fuel without knowing it.

Not to mention you are basically guaranteed to destroy the injector.
