Recommended Posts

dragged home a 2000 XR250

bike had been sitting inside for years due to some engine trouble

bike now is in pices and cleaned up

what I do not need for my next project will be for sale

if you need anything, ask

no idea what is wrong with the engine,

will dig into it when I have time

Awesome, I don't need any parts but I'd sure like this to turn into a project thread with LOTS of pics!

I'm not familiar with the model designation xr250RY.

Would you mind taking off the seat and telling me what the label on the top subframe tube (left side) says.

I would be happy to relieve you of lots of parts if it is a xr250Y (note no second R), but I suspect its not.

dear friend down under where you have acess to all kinds of nice bikes we do not even know about,

when I typed XR250RY this was exactly what I meant

an ME08 built in the year Honda denominates with a 'Y' aka 2000

I would be keen on the engine only complete. How much are you looking for?

I am absolutely willing to part with it,

but have no idea - yet - what is wrong with it,

someone must have looked already, because cylinder bolts are loose

if you are not in a real hurry ...

to many projects ahead of the lil'one

I'll keep you updated
