Suspension valving, who likes what?

Recommended Posts

I'm putting my '03 CR250R back together this week after I get a few bits in for normal maintenance stuff. I've gotten a few things together and am planning a couple other areas to make it a good woods bike. One of the phases is suspension. I've been considering revalving the forks & shock. I've come to appreciate a good suspension after modding my street bikes suspenders. Race Tech Gold Valves in the forks and Ohlins shocks on my ZRX and Ohlins valving and shock on the 636 I sold this past summer (both have been sitting since I started riding in the dirt last year :smirk: ). A new shock would be nice but I don't want to spend that much $$ right now on it.

What do you guys like? I know Race Tech is pretty good and one online place I like to use says for a few more bucks, Ohlins valving is better in their opinion. A riding buddy has Pro Circuit stuff in his KTM.

Any thoughts are appreciated. :bonk:
