Faded plastic gas tank

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever tried using Krylon plastic paint? I'd like to do something about a faded tank on my Honda. Will this stuff work? Krylon claims it bonds to plastic. I don't want to create a mess that I would be sorry for.

i would rather try something like meguiars "back to black" it lasts a good while. I have used it on the plastic trim on my truck. Its an '08 and wasnt as black as it was when i bought it new and sure enough the back to black makes it a nice deep black.

Lasted longer than I thought it would too. Certainly way longer than using an armorall style protectant.

Pick a color that looks good on your riding pants, because the first drop of gas that gets on the tank, you'll be wearing it!(ask me how I know)

The only paint I think would possibly work is the "appliance" EPOXY,I've only seen it in black or white. and allow at least 2 days to dry.very smooth and glossy.
