Anyone tried a 250X fuel petcock on a 250R tank?

Will it fit on the tank? Will it give me ~1.6 gallons of fuel set to 'ON' and about 0.4 Gallons more on reserve? I don't necessarilly need more total fuel range, but would like a 'reserve' such that when I'm 'out', I know I can swing the lever to reserve and get back to the truck. Bike is a woods bike and not a track bike and pushing it back to the truck isn't a very good option! :-)

If you are talking about an 04-09 250R then yes the 04-09 250X fitting/hoses/petcock are a direct bolt on.

Sorry...shoulda been more clear. 2008 CRF250R is the bike in need of 'reserve'. Thanks for the quick reply!

That being the case then any year 250x parts will work,450x will work also but you may need to modify the hoses somewhat.
