No. All you'll achieve is noise. If you want more/better power an expansion chamber is the ticket. As well as a good silencer.

Power on a 2 stroke lies in the pipe itself. Silencer is just that, and will have very little, to no, affect on power.

you could shorten it, but I leave that to pro circuits R304. they size down the core to make it quieter and they give it a round can for better packing abilities. the silencer only slightly changes the powerband in one area. The pipe is where most advances in power are made.

Agreed with all. So bottom line is the pipe is the key, a fresh packed silencer is whats best. these engines actually need some back pressure. If they flow too much, it will hurt performance.
