KYB forks Need Help with part

Recommended Posts

I was taking apart the forks on the 97 cr125 project I picked up and after I turned the fork upside down to drain the oil a part fell out into the oil I took the part out of the drain pan and I have no idea where it goes. The part is about 2 3/8 inches long and it is the same diameter as the dampening rod and it also has a notch in it which looks to be for a straight screw driver? Any help guys would be great thanks.

It sounds like part of the rebound adjustment rod that runs down the middle of the damper rod. A picture might help?

Vince is right, it sits on top of the long rebound rod. Put it back in the rod with the slot down.
