Texas El Paso trails, track, road street, all of it

Recommended Posts

So it appears I will be sent to El Paso for about a year upon my return to the US. Not what I was looking forward to, but it’s about my only choice to stay in or near TX.

I’ve flown over El Paso, but never spent any time there… Nor have any idea what is there for Public riding land? SuperMoto tracks? Road Race track? MX tracks? Pay to Play riding areas?

I’ll be working at Fort Bliss, and living on or near there.

Ideas? Thoughts, places you know of?

Thanks

Erik

I know you can ride at Big Bend. However, it is my understanding you must have a spark arrestor and etc. :smirk:

Okay... Maybe not. Snipped from http://www.nps.gov/bibe/planyourvisit/bc_regulations.htm

Motorized vehicles and bicycles are permitted only on designated public roads.

Off-road vehicle travel causes visual and environmental damage.

Was stationed at Bliss in 08. PCS'd away, now back at Bliss. I know of a few places.

Red Sands out east off Montana, about a mile past the loop. 6 sq miles of dunes and trails. We go there just about every weekend.

"The Wall", just outside of El Paso, in NM. Same thing, about 6 sq miles of desert riding.

XMotoBall, http://www.xmotoball.com/, they run night MX races once a month. I am going to try and get some practices lined up and/or open rides.

Tullie MX, Tularosa, NM. They run two day MX events, once a month http://www.tuliemx.com/

Sandia MX, http://www.sandiamx.com/, they run MX events once a month, but it's Alberquerque, 4 hour drive

You'll have to go to Tucson for any AMA events. http://www.pimamotorsportspark.com/, http://mcmotorsportspark.com/
