Loss to the Hobby: Pat Orman

Recommended Posts

I wanted to note that our friend Pat Orman of Calamus, Iowa passed away

yesterday, 24th December after extended health problems. He is probably best known among the Vintage Flattracking crowd as an engine builder and parts supplier for many of the racing XL350 flattrack bikes around the country.

I personally only spent some time with him at the races in Phoenix a few years ago but we have kept in contact through the internet many times.

I'm sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He really knew his stuff about engine building a Honda XL350. He was always helpful to answer my questions about mine. If you own a Pat Orman built engine, start it up one time this week to remember him.
