It's between an 02-07. Hard to say exactly what yr. with out asking some questions. Is it stock ? Reason I ask I have an 02 frame with an 03 motor & 07 suspension. Does he have a title ?

qucik reference points to look for.

02-04 female end on the exhaust pipe where it meets the cyl.

04 first yr. with tps with female end on the expansion chamber

05-07 with tps male end on the exhaust pipe where it meets the cyl.

04-07 clutch adj. at lever pos.

04-07 renthal bars stock

The frt. fender is newer style but doesn't tell you much. I run it on my 02.

I'd guess it's between an 04-07 ?

Clean Bike.

tenth digit on the vin in the frame, on the right side of the steering neck, just look in the right side up by the triple tree clamps. right that down then write down the motor vin and call a local honda dealer they should be able to tell you

The number plate is the '04-07 type, so that's my guess (the later plate won't mount to a stock '02-03 top clamp). But as mentioned, get the VIN. Looks like a clean one, good luck with your deal

02-07

10th digit of the vin will be a single numeric number. IE YEAR since it is a 00-09 bike

Thanks for the suggestions everyone... I'm still waiting for the frame and engine numbers from the guy.. he is claiming it is a '06. But you know you always get those people who take chances or even just guys that don't know better.

I'm might swap it for my Yamaha wave blaster 1 so i just want to see that it is worth it.

he is claiming it is a '06.

It looks like it could be an `06.

I have a 2005, and it looks like mine. 05-07 are basically the same.

Airbox looks suspicious, and so does the pipe.

Pipe looks tweaked, and spray-painted.

It looks like it's been shoved back into the frame.

No idea WHAT is going on with that Frankensteined airbox.

I would definately run the numbers on it. Might be a Frankenbike.

( Like an 02 motor in an 06 frame or something like that )

:bonk:

Anything can be cleaned-up to look decent in a photo.

Totally different story when you check it out in person, and test ride it.

Don't ever buy a used bike without checking it out carefully in person.

Never take a persons word for it. People are total B.S. artists, when it comes to selling crap.
