shock piston band!!!!

Recommended Posts

I received a shock today with and aftermarket piston don't know the brand but the issue is that the piston band is like a recetech that it's split in one end, but this one is a little softer than racetech and when I was getting the piston in, the band got jam and it got flat on one of the edges after the second try it went in ok.

My question is should I try to find a replacement band or will this work ok with the little damage that I made to it:banghead:

Id try to get a new one. If that thing leaks past the piston your damping goes out the window. It'll act like another bleed circuit.

If you didnt carve a piece out of it, you might be able to boil it or something and let it take back its original shape and save the piece.

if it wasn't squashed both sides them there will not be a bleed

path so you might be ok
