96 RM250 Stock Jetting?

Recommended Posts

Hello...currently going through a top end rebuild for now...hopefully that is all that is wrong with this bike. The cylinder will be replated and new piston rings and gasket kit going in, no oversize bore.

I have a Keihin PJ slotted carb and was looking to see what the OEM settings were for the jets and needle? I am at sea level and will run 32:1 ratio. I don't race and just riding around on short trails. I believe the exhaust is stock, however it might be from a 98 RM? Nothing fancy, just want to make the engine last as long as it can without chaning motor out every year.

If you know of a good place where I can find Suzuki diagrams, that would be helpful as I am coming over from the Kawi side.

Also....any suggestions on going with a cooler plug?

58 pilot, 172 main, R1467N needle, but you should start with a 55pilot(1 1/2 turns out on pilot air screw), and leave the main. Put the needle on pos. two. Start there and that should be a good start.:bonk:
