stupid fcr question

Recommended Posts

There is a rib molded in the rubber boot and a groove machined in the head spigot. When the boot is on all the way you will feel it "snap" or fall into place. I would expect the gap to be zero to about 1mm. There is about a 1/2 mm gap on mine.

If you remove the boot from the carb and install just the boot on the head without the carb, you can both see and feel when it is on all the way. Check the fit on the inside of the boot. If you are concerned about the fit, do that. It should answer all your questions.
