Where can I buy a float bowl drain plug?

Recommended Posts

My brother lost the drain plug for the float bowl on his 01 cr125. We called all the dealers on long island and even the two in Washington near where we used to live they all said that they cannot sell just the plug. Then we went on bike bandit, and had the same problem. Is there any place that sells just the plug? It is a waste of money to buy a new $80 float bowl for the plug.

call sudco. they carry/sell all the parts individually but i think you have to make a minimum order of $25 so go to their website and pick out some oil or lubes to make up the difference before you call them. i've talked to them about individual carb parts before and they sell them all. i think they wanted about $8 for the float bowl drain plug when i priced it.

Sudco looks like they might have it, but they are closed till the 3rd, so I'll call them then. Ebay doesn't have one right now and cheap cycle parts is like bike bandit.

how about your local dealer?

Called them first, but they won't sell it. The idiot there even said that they are precision machined and can't be interchanged. :bonk:

Ebay or zipty racing or moose.. I'd get the magnetic one just for the hell of it. Here's an example of one for cheap.

The dealers you've called are crap parts guys or don't care about sales... Small sales turn into big sales if you treat people right.

Thanks, its a Mikuni TMX with the plug that threads around jet seat, but I think I found one that might work on ebay, no picture though, so I'll have to wait for him to reply to my email.
