Recommended Posts

I have a yz125 that has a hole in the side of the tank that gas will leak out of if the tank is more than 75% full. Any idea of any solutions without buying a new tank? T

Im not going to die because of a leaky tank.....

Its a possibility. All it takes is a spark or something. I wouldn't wanna be riding a bike that leaked gas onto the engine and electrical components underneath the tank.

Maybe something like this. I know the patch stuff for metal tanks usually requires repairs in a few years. Maybe there's something like a kreem kit availible for plastic tanks?

it may look a little frankenbike-ish, but a nut n bolt with orings will seal the hole. Just gotta get creative with a spring claw!

Ya a nut and bolt with o-ring will work, or a piece of gasket material. However if its an an easily viewed place it will look ugly.
