2012 ktm 300 xc

Recommended Posts

I just bought a new 12 KTM 300 xc and its running lean when I but it under a load. (Sand Track) I was wondering if anyone is having this issue and what jets you are running?

I have a 165 main in it now. But, do I change something else?

2011 KTM 300 XC - Same motor as your 2012

I am in south Alabama at sea level similar to your elevation.

Temps have been anywhere from 55 to 70 degrees recently.

My jetting setup is as follows:

Pilot Jet: 38

Air Screw: 1.5 turns out

Main Jet: 162

Needle: NECJ in clip 3 - this is a needle for a 2008ish Suzuki RM 250 - if you do some research you will find evidence supporting the fact that this jetting combo will probably work great for your machine

Enjoy

I am running exactly the same jetting:

38 pilot, 162 main, NECJ needle in the 3rd clip, air screw 1.5, works great. I have not ridden it on a sand track, possibly a richer main would be needed.

My conditions are 0-1,500 feet, 50-60 degree temps.

Good luck!
