That's a new one. Post a VIN, or at least the first eight characters of the vin. That should say who actually makes it and where this one in particular came from. Depending on who actually makes it, I might be able to get more information out of the VIN.

I suspect its a chinese copy of the cobra. Its probably going to bend and break and parts wil be non existant. Its cheaper to spend more in the beginning. Get a a good brand with good support/parts distribution/dealers etc.

Is the kid going to race or just trail ride? Many of these small 50cc 2 stoke bikes are just race oriented only. And make horrible trail bikes.

If the kid is just starting, then a Honda CRF50 or XR50 (03 and earlier) are an idea bike, good quality parts will be available for the rest of our lives. That was the first bike I bought my grandson, his next bikes was all race bikes.

He will ride and maybe one day race in motocross or supercross only, he is now 4 and here in Italy we are oriented to buy a 2 strokes for the first bike.

Maybe a mini adventure or lem cx1/lx1 or cx2/lx2
