What years will work with a 2001 kx 250?

Recommended Posts

Im picking up a 2001 kx 250 this weekend and it needs a good bit of work, so I was wondering what year span will work for it? I was told that 01 to 04 parts are the same but just wanted some more input..

Basically, the engine will swap from 94-02 easily, but up to 03 or 04 changing the head. The body parts are only 99-02. It's easier if you have a specific part in mind. But read the cross reference thread first. :smirk:

motionpro makes a great replacement twist throttle. you can get plastic just about anywhere from a decent price to holy cow they want what for that?! i put IMS propegs on mine. best thing i ever did as far as pegs go. top end cost will determine on what you need.
