Help, no spark

I'm having trouble getting spark in my 86 kx250 and I've changed out 8 different spark plugs, nothing. I had another cdi box I changed out and still nothing. I pulled off the flywheel and stator and cleaned it real good then put it back in and still nothing. I dont know what to look for stator wise so if someone could help me out with that I'd appreciate it. And how would I go about checking the ignition box?

hate to say it, but you need a service manual and a multi-meter.

im saying, since you did the basics, you need to break out the meter and check all the wires, and make sure all components are up the factory specs. if not, than you will need to replace what isnt working. check all grounds as well. twist the sparkplug cap off and make sure the high tension lead isn't corroded. my 87 corroded and i had to cut the wire back a quarter inch till there wasnt any green wires left.

It could be the plug wire but just as likely to be the stator/pickup/coil.

Just as dave stated..you need a service manual and a multimeter or a buddy with extra spare parts to try...?

you did rule out the killswitch right?

Give me the wire colors coming from the stator and I will give you the tests specs.

I 2nd this. I've seen so many people spend alot of money over a $20 kill switch.?

BTW. Ricky Stator is the MAN. I've gotten 3 stators from them and they rock!!!

Yes I unplugged the kill switch, the stator has yellow and black, red and tan/white, and green and tan/white. How much do new stators usually run?

Sounds like maybe your missing a wire.

White/Red to White/green= 5-10 ohms

Black/Yellow to ground= 400 ohms

Am I suppose to check the blue wire coming off? And when I checked the black and yellow I got about .5. But the black and yellow grounds so I don't know if I tested that right.
