I believe it is a little larger in diameter giving an increase in flow, although you would need to re-jet and 3x3 to get the full benefit.

The restriction on the s/sm is the header pipe, not the muffler

yes...the header is your restrictive point on the s/sm exhaust, the real E header is larger diameter. its not a huge gain. most compare the fmf power bomb header to the E pipe. you can still find E headers for cheap if you are patient and check the TT classifieds and local listings and of course ebay.

yes. It is longer then the sm header so you will have to cut about 3/4 of an inch off the stock muffler. Or did I cut it off the header, I don't remember. You will have to use a thinner gasket to get it to fit. some people use pop cans, I used 16 gauge copper wire wrapped like a coil.
