ktm 200mxc rebuild problem

You just need to replace the figure 8 holding plate and possibly the pins. You are correct that those plates hold the pins in place once set properly. Shouldn't cost ya too much.

I suspect the pins are frozen to the power valve. If so, yes you will have to replace the plates but first you will have to take the power valve apart and clean it.
