how did you clean the outside of the engine?

I got a big plastic tub, soaked it in degreaser, then hit it with the pressure washer , I wasnt worried about getting water in it as everything was getting replaced, You can also use a kerosene parts wash, some of the parts i cleaned with a tooth brush and kero... oh its really not that clean either, i didn't bother re painting it either ...maybe another day il get round to that lol

you can use kerosene solvent, degreaser, and a wire brush. good old elboy grease does the job well. plenty of gel degreaser sitting in a tub for a while helps the stuff come off with ease.
