Carb Issues Please Help

Recommended Posts

Scenario: Riding my bike around my pasture. Runs fine. Pull up to my house - bike idles...dies - try to crank...nothing. FINALLY get it cranked. Idles fine, give throttle...dies.

What could be the issue? Is this a sign of running rich or lean? Any thoughts?

What kind of bike? New, Used? Does the behavior change with the choke or without the choke??

Check the plug, is it all wet?? (flooded?)

Take the gas cap off when it dies, and see if it gets better. The cap vents plug, and that sounds like the symptom.

Figured it out. I took my time taking the carb apart, cleaning it, drained the old gas, made sure the carb was properly sealed. Runs 100 x's better, just need to adjust the fuel screw the take away some of it's richness. Thanks for all of the help.
