Looking to buy a buggy, no idea about quality

Recommended Posts

I am looking to buy a buggy to play with. They look so damn fun! I have no idea what brands are good and which to avoid. Budget is about 10K. I am looking for the buggy look. Its just a toy, expensive, I know. But I want something I can have fun with that wont require me to repair or fix all the damn time.

If you know of something better, let me know, by all means! The top four here have China-buggy all over them! lol

BMS 1100cc buggy?

Polaris? Not really a "buggy" but atleast I know its a quality name brand.

I would get a Razor 800cc. I have a Chinese one and they are not bad but when things break, parts are expensive for some reason and nobody wants to work on them. That has been my experience. Good luck

i have a joyner 650 - which is like a bms/roketa

How much time do you want to spend working on it? Not joking, mine was 3200 and i wrench it all the time.

the 1000's and above are really for sand as they are large buggies.

Add a turbo to it for around 1k and it will smoke a rzr.

Now a rzr is NARROW and prone to rolling

but you can get a good used rzr for like 6500 and add the wide suspension for a few hundred and you will be good to go.

If you can afford it, or at least justify the cost (over the questionable reliability of the chinese clones), go for the RZR, you won't be disapointed. I have the Ranger 500efi, and really like the looks of the new RZR570. It's a tad smaller (good for trails) than the 800/900, but should be plenty for a blast!

I use mine for some work around the property, so I needed the bed. I frequently go to the trails and meet up with the RZR guys, and o around some of the stuff they go through :banghead:

Lots of good ideas in this forum of what to buy. I am pretty excited since I have not been on anything but a golf cart in about 10 years.

Are you looking for a 2 seater or single seat. Might want to check out a Redline Revolt. There is a couple of mini sandrail sites out there ,try mini buggy.net.
