Linkage guard for 2012 KTM 250xc......a few pics!

Recommended Posts

I dam happy with the product, looks like it offers great protection but what a PITA to put on, you pretty much have to take everything off including the linkage, rear brake assembly, rear wheel. Took me a little over an hour to assemble. I would reccomend using a second person if someone is available.

Scorpion Racing is the company in case anyone wants to know! Here is a link to the product. If you search TT, there is a product code for 20% off. http://scorpionracing.ca/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=132&category_id=81&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

I see that Slavens Racing has one built also, claims that someone copied his design!

The Slavens unit looks like it does not have the skid plate on it? On the site says Patent pending, but no # ?.

The Slavens unit does have a skidplate and like the Scorpion Racing unit, looks very well built. I didnt know Slavens had one. Its all the same though and for Americans to support local business, I encourage it over buying one in Canada. I'm curious to the cost of the Slavens unit though.

Really, here is their install video, and I see no mention of a lower skid plate?

It is on his website. I'm not sure which or who came first but I get the impression that Slavens might have devoloped the link skid first, Scorpion added the plate and now Slavens has a plate too. This is just pure guessing, please don't quote me. Here is the link to Slavens......
