TTR 230 bigger jets not only fo sea-level

I removed the baffle and spark arrestor , drilled two 40 mm holes in the airbox and removed the screen and added a twin air filter.

Bored the cylinder .5 oversize due to being out of limits and removed some metal in the exhaust port with a file - did not polish only removed some metal on the lip of the port.

I now find the engine to run rough at full throttle close to full rpm and on inspection of the plug it was white so a lean condition and I ride at 5000 feet alt and close to 7500 density altitude or true altitude at a temp of 28 deg celcius in summer

So at this altitude with free mods bigger jets is also needed

Stock is 125 main and 36 pilot

Will install 130 main and 38 pilot

Fitted the 132 Main and 38 Pilot jet and lifted the needle 1.5 mm with a washer.

Fired her up and WOW !!!!

Fired up on the choke and was able to rev the engine from the start with no hessitation! The engine now warms up much quicker!

The engine pulls hard from the bottom to max revs with no more splutter at full revs

This is definitely worth the effort!
