going to pull the trigger...

Recommended Posts

ok, so im going to pull the trigger on a cam upgrade...

im looking for more power across the board, but i need the bike to start fast and i don't want to hurt the low end. big factor is long term reliability.

revewing the web cam 282 to the 89a i see a big lift change .30 vs .36

im not sure what the stock lift is but im concerned that the big (.36) lift is going to shorten valve guide life.

i plan on installing the cam in an otherwise stock motor. (no HC pistion)

any inputs from those that have at least 4 race seasons on there cam change ?

ok what model cam?

i think they have 3-4 options....

i race hare- scrambles with the motor off as the board drops.

so does the cam you selected need more cranks to get running?

did you change other bits or just drop in the cam?

i am wanting to stay stock on the piston and valves (if possable)

the biggest one he makes

starting is no issue.

isnt a direct drop in, but he does make models which are

shoot him an email, ask about the coeshow "special" cam, its the higest lift/duration you can get away with the stock valvetrain
