Tried the Cyclops brand lights VS Dinotte VS Light and Motion or others? Helmet VS on moto. Use as a work light also?

Recommended Posts

Quality of beam, customer service, duarability, charger, battery, switch...?

How well does it work as a work light as another method to get use out of it?

I am going to buy a light for cycling and moto.

Have any of you used multiple brands and models? What say you?

How did you use and mount?

I know the helmet is the best way to go for seeing except for fog, rain and dusty conditions.

I am thinking it may be nice to have a always mounted light that runs off the KTM 300XC electrical system.

I do not know of any night races or people that night ride dirt moto in my area. So I think the light would mostly be used just to get me back to the car.

The Dinotte XML-3 is a 3 bulb set up the Cyclops Adventure is a single bulble XML. The Cyclops is driven harder and supposedly shines further VS the Dinotte.

I cant say that the Cyclops LED adv light will shine further than the Dinotte,Ive never seen one in person. It is driven a bit harder than what the dionette appears to be.. That being said, the helmet mount leds(ours or any brand) will work great for a suplemental light. For an only light source on a dirt bike the Solstice HID blows all the helmet mount LEds away.. Penetration is what you need to ride at a fast pace..NO Doubt that LEDs are the future, but for now an MR16 HID is still king for motorcycle based helmetlights.

Looking at a spread sheet with Lumen and kelvin #s really does not tell the story
