WR 3rd vs. YZ 3rd

I'm thinking about putting some WR gears in my engine while I have it apart. I hear people usually go with changing out 3rd and 5th, and then drop the YZ 5th into 4th.

Is the WR 3rd higher or lower than on the YZ?

Well, I'm thinking I'll just replace 5th so I can cruise down roads without having to rev it out. I don't know if a different 3rd would be handy or not.

I have a YZ 1st and 2nd and the rest are WR. I run a 14 52 sprocket combo with a 116 link chain. 14/52 is slightly taller than stock 13/49. I ride enduros and run a Reckluse clutch. It took me a little while to adjust to the gearing but it is fine, I really like the lower rpm on roads between trail, and I am not a occasional rider,I ride an alful lot of trail and enduros. You have to use the gears from the newer Wr I am guessing 07 or newer. the 2001 wr had too tall a fifth gear. Also you can not not run a wr fifth and a yz 3rd the dogs on the gears will not match the wr 5th has four dogs and the yz 3rd has 3 dogs. Cost is probably over $ 200.00 Hope this helps.
