2008 wr250r efi.. cloesed or open loop?

Recommended Posts

Curious to know, but find only circumstantial evidence from press releases that it's closed loop. Some territories seem to have an O2 sensor, some not. Those that do, noone has ever said "yep. It's for closed loop running"

Anyone know for sure?

can't say for sure, but as most us bikes do not have the O2 sensor and only california and euro bike do have the sensor, i would assume that it would be an open loop style, as i can't imagine that they would make two seperate fi systems for one bike

perhaps replacing the fi computer with a microsquirt would be possible if it were desired to make it to go full CL..

I have an 08 california bike and it's not closed-loop (it has no O2 sensor). From reading on TT, the bikes in some other markets do have a closed loop system. I think that in all markets you need to put on a fuel tuner or something like that to make it run right. Mine has a power commander and a custom map made on the dyno and it runs perfectly.
